Brown, MS, RD, CDE, CDN
Registered Dietitian | Certified Diabetes Educator | Chef *Available for presentations, workshops and culinary demos Marlisa is an international speaker, with over twenty five years culinary experience and she has made numerous television appearances which include 5 years on “International Healthy Cooking” for The American Heart Association. She is a member of the dLife TV Professional Council as author of “Gluten-Free Hassle-Free”. Marlisa has a graduate degree in nutrition and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from C.W. Post/Long Island University and has also studied at the Culinary Institute of America. She was recently honored as an outstanding alumni at C.W. Post/Long Island University. Marlisa is president of Total Wellness Inc., a private nutrition consulting company specializing in, culinary programs, corporate wellness, diabetes, weight loss, preventive medicine, medical nutrition therapy and sports nutrition which has included work with the NY Jets. Marlisa is author of “Gluten-Free Hassle Free” and “Easy, Gluten-Free” and she has contributed to many publications including; Salute, Scholastic, Shape, Food Service Management, Newsday, Weight Training for Dummies, and Sports Nutrition Medicine and Rehabilitation . She has also written and provided segments in many programs including, Richard Simmons Food Mover Program, cookbooks, recipe cards and web site, Jorge Cruises’ 3-Hour Diet Cookbook, Leslie Sansone's’Walk Away the Pounds, the Turbo cooker and Kathy Smiths’ Project You II (The Diabetic Fitness Solution). She has served as an officer on many boards, which include; past president and public relations chair of The New York State Dietetic Association and New York State Media Representative for The American Dietetic Association. Marlisa is also the recipient of the emerging dietetic leader award from the American Dietetic Association and community service award from C.W. Post/Long Island University. |

Jodi Wright,
MS, RD, CDN
Registered Dietitian | Registered Dental Hygenist Jodi graduated summa cum laude from C. W. Post/Long Island University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nutrition. During her course of studies she has received prestigious awards including Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Nutrition, Certificate of Excellence, Outstanding Graduate Student in Nutrition, and Graduate Academic Performance Awards. Jodi has worked as a nutrition consultant with a focus on weight management and behavioral eating habits. As a consultant for Total Wellness, Inc., Jodi coordinated nutrition programs in corporate wellness including: developed recipes and meal plans for Jorge Cruises’ “Cruise Down Your Plate” program and books; and developed content for Richard Simmons, web site, and recipes for his Broadway Cookbook and his, recipe card program. In addition Jodi worked in the creation of the 14 day culinary program for Leslie Sansones, Walk Away the Pounds. While working with Total Wellness and Good Times Entertainment, Jodi took on the role of project manager for the Richard Simmons, web site. She has worked with other organizations and companies to prepare educational materials, present various topics to professionals and the public, and contribute to the publication of several nutrition related books. Jodi is currently working as an adjunct professor at C. W. Post/Long Island University and SUNY Suffolk County Community College, teaching undergraduate nutrition coursework. Jodi completed her Master’s research and thesis, which examined components of breast milk that enhance infant immunity as additions to infant formula. This area of study and her personal experience with autistic spectrum disorder and ADHD in her twin boys has shifted her interest to the nutritional needs of the pediatric patient, particularly those with developmental delays and/or special needs such as autistic spectral disorders and feeding problems. When Jodi is not working, she and her husband care for their three energetic sons 5 year old twins- one with autistic spectrum disorder and ADHD, and the other with ADHD, and a two year old on Long Island. |

Catherine M. Brittan, MS, RD, LD
Registered Dietitian | Licensed Dietitian Cathie graduated from C.W. Post/Long Island University with a Master’s degree in Nutrition. She received awards for Outstanding Graduate Student in Nutrition and Outstanding AP4 student New York State. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Iona College. Cathie is currently a clinical nutritionist for the WIC Program at the Gwinnett County Public Health Department in Lawrenceville Georgia working with pregnant and post partum women, infants and children. She strongly promotes breastfeeding as the main source of nutrition for infants, and encourages healthy eating habits for children to reduce obesity. She is a Certified Lactation Counselor and has received her Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management. As a consultant for Total Wellness Inc., Cathie has developed and tested recipes, exchange lists and meal plans for Cathy Smith’s The Diabetic Fitness Solution, Richard Simmons’ Food Mover Weight Loss Program and Jorge Cruise’s Diet Cookbook. Cathie has 12 years of clinical experience working in long term and sub acute facilities with 4 years as Director of Dietetic Services overseeing the nutritional management of long term and sub acute residents including dialysis, cardiac rehab and pulmonary care units. Cathie has served on the Board of Directors for the Long Island Dietetic Association, the Dietetic Internship Advisory Board for Long Island University/C.W. Post and on the Council of Renal Nutrition of Greater New York. |
